Colour, Material & Finish exploration

This project focused on exploring colour, material, and finish (CMF) through the development of a compact handheld media device. Starting from a Logitech reference product, I analysed and reinterpreted its form and usability, evolving it into a more refined and approachable design. The process involved sketching, physical prototyping, and digital rendering in Affinity Photo, with a strong emphasis on creating realistic materials and lighting. I explored a range of CMF options, ultimately selecting a warm colour palette that enhances the soft, ergonomic form and improves the overall user perception. The final outcome demonstrates a balance between functionality and visual appeal, supported by a clear and considered design process.
